The School Day
School gates will be opened at 8:35am to allow children to arrive in time for the school day which will start promptly at 8:45am with registration in class. The end of the school day is 3:15 pm.
There are many after school clubs available for children and wraparound clubs available until 5:15 pm.
A Day in the life of Preschool and Reception children:
In the morning, the children take part in a maths lessons to develop their maths fluency and reasoning skills, followed by a phonic session.
Throughout the day, children participate in whole class learning, group work and independent activities. They enjoy a snack time part way through the morning, with milk and fruit, followed by daily story time lessons to support their reading.
At 12:00 noon, the children go over to the canteen/school hall to eat their school lunch or packed lunch from home and then have a play on the playground with their friends.
Children the have the opportunity to explore indoor and outdoor activities liked to their curriculum.
At the end of the day, children enjoy carpet time together before the day ends at 3:15pm.

For pre-school we have morning sessions available from 08:35 am - 12:00 noon and the afternoon sessions are from 12:00 noon until 03:15 pm. Children are also welcome to attend all day sessions.
A day in the life of Year 1 and 2:

At mid-morning, they have a break time and all children are offered a piece a fruit.
After lunch, the afternoon session begins from 1.15pm where children take part in many subjects throughout the week including: History, Science, Geography, Music, RE, PSHE, PE, Art, DT.
There is an assembly at 3:00pm each day followed by children getting ready to go home at 3:15pm.

Afterschool wrap around care
At St-Erme with Trispen, we offer wrap around care until 5.15pm. This can be booked and paid for in hourly blocks through ParentPay.
